We got into Gatlinburg/Sevierville yesterday. After unpacking, Marcia and I took the kids to the outdoor hottub because the indoor pool was closed for the day. Well, the pool is situated on the side of a mountain and some big winds were brewing. Everything was fine for about 20 minutes, then a large wind blew the huge wooden umbrella up in the air, knocking over the table with our stuff on it. Two towels and a shirt fell into the hottub. The umbrella flew up in the air and landed on us in the water. Owen got a light hit on the head, I got a bruise on my arm, and Bridget got a nice sized bruise and scrape on the side of her knee. We were all fine, but the kids were very shaken. Owen thought it was a tornado and Bridget was screaming at all of us to go inside. It took the rest of the evening to convince the kids that we were safe and did not need to leave for home immediately.
Today, Dad drove Mom, Marcia, me and the kids to the National Park. We started at the welcome center where we saw this great sign.

We decided to head up to Clingman's Dome and found an awesome icicle display.
