We had a great time carving pumpkins tonight. The kids got to carve their own pumpkins. In years past, they have drawn and E has carved. This year we tried the let 'em fly theory. They had a blast. We taught knife safety because they were interested and had a need. I was really amazed how well they did. It was very hard not to interrupt and give helpful advice. E stayed in the background. He was very nervous about handing the children sharp knives. It was hard work. Their little hands got tired and they took breaks, but they did it.
