Summer learning

Since the kids had a slow spring, we decided to sign them up for anything they wanted this summer. They both chose swim team, swim lessons and the community day camp for four weeks (two weeks now and two weeks at the end). The first 4 weeks have been so much fun. They both love swim team (even the practices!) and our learning so much since we combined it with three solid weeks of lessons.

Their first two week camp session is now over. In addition to the things they were trying to teach, my kids learned a lot about getting along with others. They made lots of new friends and learned how to stay away from people that are not nice. They also got to spend two weeks with their cousin who they don't see very often because he is in school. They are looking forward to returning in August for another two weeks.

They were relieved to have the past two days to play at home and slow down a little. It made me appreciate having them around.
